Abraham asked, “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Genesis 18:25). Christ on the Cross was His answer.
Rev. Mike Jones
It is amazing how many people who live a sinful life style tell me it is wrong for me to judge them but it is alright for them to judge me about my judging them for their sinful lifestyle! The truth is, all of us judge people every day; from the crazy driver ducking in and out of traffic to the strange people at work who do things in a much different way than we would do them. My main concern, however, is not this “normal” judgment of people. My main concern is God and His judgment.
God will one day judge people about their moral standards (Heb 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge). God will also judge people about their hidden actions (Ro 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel).
Before you “look down your nose”, however, realize that God is the Judge of all (Heb 12:2) so it behooves everyone to be prepared to face God’s Judgment. The good news is that while God does not judge on the “curve”; He does judge on the “cross” where even the worst of sinners can find mercy and forgiveness.
